MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION & INVITATION

Iowa Hawkeye Horseshoe Pitchers Association ( IHHPA )
National Horseshoe Pitchers Association ( NHPA )

Welcome to the IHHPA, where you’ll be playing horseshoes at its highest level in the state of Iowa and throughout the USA.

IHHPA/NHPA sanctioned leagues and tournaments are held throughout the year at locations around the state. ( Average of 50 tournaments a year )

A membership is required to be able to participate in these sanctioned events. After sending in your membership application you will receive a combined IHHPA/NHPA membership card that will include your individual sanction number for the current year. That number will continue to be yours as you renew your membership each year. (Jan.to Dec.)

This card entitles you to participate in NHPA sanctioned events throughout the United States and much of Canada when you present it and meet the entry requirements. The normal average entry fee in Iowa is $10 to $15. Scorekeeping fees are normally .50 cents a game and may be included in the entry fee.

The annual dues for men and women of this association shall be forty ($40.00) dollars, which includes NHPA current dues and the IHHPA “Newsletter”. Dues for one additional adult members living at the same address shall be twenty-five ($25.00) dollars, which includes NHPA current dues. Limit of one additional adult per household. Junior membership is free. The IHHPA will pay the NHPA portion of the dues for all juniors. The association dues card shall be issued for the calendar years January 1st through December 31st. A player is considered a junior the entire season if his 18th birthday occurs on or after the start of the calendar year, January 1st.

Note: Junior Cadets (any pitcher twelve (12) years old or younger for the entire calendar year) may pitch from any place on the extended or full-distance platforms and shall observe the twenty-foot (20’) foul line.
